  1. Boys and girls do not play the same games. The following is a list of games which we girls play in our school yard, fox and chickens, house and shop, London bridges, cat and mouse, hide and go seek, hunting, blind man's bluff, tig, tug of war, Mary Brown, The lost glove, green gravel, colours, This is the way fox and chickens is played. One child pretend she is a fox and another a hen and the rest chickens. The fox runs after the chickens and trys to catch them.
    House and shop is played in this way. One of the children has a shop and the rest has a house and they go to the shop buying things.
    This is the way London bridge is played. Two girls go away and they take two things
