  1. Bird Lore.
    There are a good many birds in Ireland namely thrush, robin, blackbird, Goldfinch, Canary, Yellow hammer, Seagull, Lark, Rook, Sparrow, Cuckoo.
    Some of the birds build their nests in ditches and bushes and trees and many other places.
    They build their nests with sticks and moss and feathers and hay. They begin to build in Spring.
    It is said that the blood of our Lord is on the Robin and that it is not right to kill him.
