    terrible noise in one of the rooms and a man appeared at the room door.
    This was repeated three times. The third time he came down to where the men were talking.
    Then taking two of them kept kicking and smashing them until he had them killed, and left the other to tell the tale.

  2. Haunted Place
    Old people have a lot of ghost stories. This is one I heard of.
    There was a house in Windfield which belonged to Mr. O'Malley. It was called Windfield House.
    There was a man working there and the ghost appeared to him. The ghost came and put his two elbows on a half-door and looked in at the man who was in bed. Then the
