  2. Story
    There is an old fairy story that was told to me not long ago by my father.
    Years ago there lived a woman named Murphy beside a fort in my townland. She had one child. One day while the mother of the child was away for water, her child was taken and another child left in her place. This child had a big head and big ears.
    One night at about twelve o' clock the woman was passing the fort, she saw a crowd of girls dressed in white dancing in the fort and she recognised that one of them was her own child. She remained for a considerable time looking at them. However she coaxed the girl home. She lived with her ever afterwards, but when they came home the other child was gone. This girl
