  1. Long ago duing the Penal Days there lived a bishop in a place called Bishop's Mountain. Now this bishop was hunted everywhere. One day the English were hunting him on the Mountain when they met three Friars. They tortured them to tell where the bishop hid but they would not. They flogged them and put them to death by hanging them from a tree. Three headstones mark the place where they were excuted.
