    There was Mass said in a hollow in Pat Monaghan's land in Tattenclave and the hill is called Lubby HIll since. [Also called "altar"]. There was sand taken out of this hole before the Penal times.
    There was a priest hid himself between Tattenclave and Stranooden in a lonely glen. Often he would say Mass in the neighbourhood between midnight and daylight in houses or behind big ditches, and in bogs. Often the priests would be killed when they would be sleeping. The soldiers would be walking across the place and not thinking to find a priest they would kill him. The man that would kill would get a great lot of money for it.
