  1. The cure for the strain was to go to some man that was married and get him to pull it to it set.

  2. When anyone would have a pain in their back they would put red flannel on it and they would keep it on their back until it gets better.
    If anyone had a pain in their leg or in their arm Mrs. McGinty would cure it. If there were the seventh child in a family the seventh child could cure any pains.
