    There were many customs long ago concerning marriages but there are different ones now. Long ago, when a marriage was spoken of between a boy and a girl, the parents of both would have to give their consent. If they were satisfied it was arranged with the intended groom to come on a certain night to make the match. On this night the girls fortune was made. At this time a girl would get sheep or a cow so that she would have good luck, and the wedding day appointed. Then all their friends were
