  1. Lord Rossmore was the lord of this district. The race of him was in the estate for about one hundred and twenty years. The present lord's grandmother was a Catholic and owned a sea in Three-mile-house church. Her name was Lady Westenra Rossmore or Brigid Sherry.
    The landlords were mostly good but the agents and bailiffs were very bad and pressed the tenants without the knowledge of the landlord. There were a lot of people evicted in the old days even if they had the rent paid because they had no title. The farm was divided up among the members of the family if the farm was large.
