  1. Herbs, despised now were treasured in olden times as remedies for certain ailments. Chemists still use them in the manufacture of medicines.
    Featherfew was used locally as a cure for blood weakness. Black heads stop bleeding.
    Crowfoot and dandelion make cows milk fresh and sweet.
    Nettles are used in making turkey's food. Formerly nettles and wild mint were utilized in making soup.
    Herbs are disliked because they spread rapidly and impoverish the soil often to the detriment of the crops.
