  1. There were a lot of old crafts in the district long ago. Long ago the people used to make a lot of creels. The best creel makers I know are Pat Reilly and Michael Kelly. The best thatchers are Michael Kelly, and Tom Tiernan. The kilns burners are Martin Dowd, Carrownacluane, Conway's Cross, Riverstown, Co. Sligo. and Pat Bruen, Carrownacluane, Jimmie Bruen,Carrownadargney, Geevagh, Co. Sligo. Some people make rush candles.
