    butter-milk, garlic, - boiled and dandiline.
    Corn - Cure, = house-leek, soap and salt-water.
    Fire-burn, = flour and lamp-oil.
    Nettle-burn, = Docking-leaves.
    Whooping-Cough = Ferret's leavings.
    Tooth-Ache = Soote and to chew tobacco.
    Head-Aches = A cup of boiling water as hot as possible.
    There are also a few others but I cannot think of them at present.
    Any old cures that are left are vanishing by degrees and the few which are left are very seldom used in my local district.
    I have heard the above written cures from Laurence Mac Hugh who lives in the townland of Kilmacowen where he was born and reared. He is 65 years.
