The cromlechs at Carrowmore are erected in memory of the men who fought and died in the battle of Moytura in 2,000 B.C. These structures are all on the same plan, a circle. Each circle is composed of large stones, the diameter of the enclosure being about forty feet. The beautiful cromlech which is now called the "Kissing-Stone" was known as "Leaba-na-Chafain".- Bailitheoir
