    A Bhrigdín deas gleoite, a rúin ghil mo chroidhe,
    Ná dtuitfa annso anall liom ar cómhgar na díge
    Mar tóghfair - sé an ceó is an brón suas de'n chroiadhe
    Fé mar a éireóchaidh an lochán de'n gcoirce le gaoith.

    B'é t-athair nú do mháthair,
    Nú do linneán mhílis chéile,
    Fuair bás ar an árd úd
    Mó linneán go léir thú.

    Ní h-é m'athair ná mó mháthair,
    Is mó cás síos le bliadhain,
    Ba ' caoirigh is mór stoc, dá bhfeireacht ar sliabh,
    Ach grádh mo chroidhe seólad ar bhód luinge siar.
