  1. In the townland of Kiltygerry in the Parish of Ougteragh Co Leitrim.
    There is a large bush in that townland known as the " Bull Bush " There is a large chest of gold at the foot of the tree protected by this druid who turned himself into a bull. This occurred according to tradition when St Patrick came to convert Pagan Ireland. Anybody who dreamt of the treasure three nights in succession had a chance of finding it . The bull goes to Mass every Sunday and leaves when the first Gospel is over and if they hadn't the gold removed at that time he would come and kill them all.
    My great Grandfather was fortunate or unfortunate enough to dream of the gold . He was curious enough to go with a spade and poke at the bush and by the time the first Gospel was over, the roar of the bull and the rattling of his chain was heard at the foot of the bush. He - my Great Grandfather - was overcome by terror he was ailing for four or five days after and still getting worse. The priest was sent for and after giving him the last Rites of the Church for as happy death he read over him for a
