  1. Long ago, there used to be a lot travelling folk who called in this district.
    There used to be an old Jew who went about here selling clothes. His name was Danker, he carried a big pack of clothes on his back and when he called at a house he used to open his pack on the floor and show his wares.
    There was a man called James De Ermot, who used to round this district fixing clocks and watches. When you had paid him for fixing a clock or a watch he used to say, "Wind her up and screw her tigh and she'll keep the best of time."
    There was a man called John Jones who went about this part with a donkey and cart selling delph. He has not been round this long time. He was a native of Buncrana.
    There used to be a band of old women known as the "spinners" they used to go about calling in the house of Ture and
