Ar an leathanach seo

    as a tonic. It is a creeping flower. The flower of the Camomile when gathered are used to make Camomile Shampoo. In order to make Camomile Shampoo you would get the leaves and boiled them in water. They would then be drawn like tea and a little soap added. This shampoo is particularly used by ladies with fair hair. Camomile Shampoo can also be bought at the chemists.
    Horehound and Rue.
    Horehound is a small plant found in waste ground. The whole plant is aromatic and bitter. When mixed with Rue it is a cure for Evils which are running sores.
    Groundsel.
    Groundsel is a small garden week with a yellow blossom. When boiled with mutton suet in milk it is used to draw corruption from a boil or sore. You would apply it as a poultice.
    Colts foot.
    This plant grows in clayey fields. The cotton of the leaves was formerly used as tinder and the leaves themselves are rolled into cigars and smoked as a remedy for Asthma.
    Slánlus.
    Slánlus is a weed which grows in fields particularly dirty weedy fields. It is used as a cure for cuts. It pierces like Iodine.
