  1. A yong girl once sold a fine goose to a gentleman and she told him it was a very young goose. So the man went away happy with his goose. In a few days after the man saw the girl again and he said I thought you said that the goose you sold me was very youn. So the girl said often heard my mother say that the goose was a tea older than I am, and I am only nineteen years old. The man that told this story was named Jonnie McCaregh he is living in Cunkill. He is about sixty years old.

  2. There was a man one time who thought to make his horse to live without any food. So he counted how many straws he would eat in a day. Then he reduced him a straw every day till at last he had him trained to do with out any food and when he had trained he died from want of food. Told by James Carlew
