young men, and they stood around their sister. She burst out crying, and was just going to say that she was innocent, when someone gave a scream that there was a wolf coming. There was a terrible panic for a minute and when the wolf came nearer, what did they see but that it had a child in its mouth. The wolf rushed on, and when it came to the young queen it laid her little child safe and sound at her feet.
Then the wolf was changed before their eyes into a small woman, and she told the whole story from beginning to end. The people were so enraged at what the wicked queen had tried to do that they rushed in to find her so that they would burn her in punishment for her villainy, but tale or tidings of her was never found from that good day out.
