    On the day they arrive home a party is given in the Groom's house to which all the friends and neighbours of the party who were married are invited.
    When all the guests arrive and the enjoyment is at its height the "strawboys" or as they are locally (ca) "Grainnes" come dressed in straw and dance with the bride. Then they are given refreshments and depart quietly. Sometimes they are not well treated and in this case they raise a row and tie the door and do all sorts of peculiar things.
    Those attending the wedding raced against each other on horses for a pint of whiskey given by the groom. Wives sat on
