  1. Many years ago school was taught in an old house which now belongs to Mr James Clarke Granaquinia, Killinkere, Virginia. The teacher's name was Miss King. She did not belong to the locality but each evening she would go home with some one or other of the children. She was paid weekly by the parents of the children whom she taught.
