I
In the townland of Lisgrey in the sweet Co Cavan,
There dwells an old dame.
Sure you all know her well.
In a cottage down near Lisgrey.
Crossroads she does dwell.
She spent all her life belaragging
her neighbours and slicing out lies.
She thought it no harm to scandalize
men women and boys.
II
In the cold month of January
in the year of thirty one.
When the days they were short and the nights they were long
It was broadcast by Mrs Owen Morgan
that her old stomach had gone wrong.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
