- (continued from previous page)There was a cart at the end of this school and it was covered with snow. A great many roads were blocked for over a fortnight. In some parts of Ireland a great many animals died,but very few died a round here,old people died also. On roads that were sheltered there were drifts from ten to twenty feet.
