    If a person dies in a certain townland the people in the same townland do not work while the corpse is being waked in the townland.
    On Good Friday the people do not work until the afternoon as it is considered unlucky in this district.
    We never begin a new job on a Saturday and we say, "A Saturdays flit is a short sit". We never dig a grave on a Tuesday as it is said to be unlucky
