Ar an leathanach seo
- First the potatoes were mashed and put into a dish and mixed along with some flour and a little soda and salt. Then it was rolled out thinly and put on a pan to bake.
- In every house long ago there was a greater. In the harvest every woman made boxty. First they got some raw potatoes and grated them on the grater. Then the potatoes were put in a strainer and the water strained off them. They were then mixed with some boiled potatoes and flour and shaped into a cake and placed into an oven over a brisk fire.
