sad appearance of the priest Mc Collum concealed him under oats and chaff until the red coats were out of sight. One of the men who was threshing raised his "flail" to strike the priest but Mc Collum shouted that the man who would strike the priest "would never call on his father again." Just then Mc Collum's five year old son who had never spoken before called out his first word "Daddy." When the priest was going away he said "The name of a Mc Collum will never want a penny but the name of a Tully shall never wear a robe" (be a priest) This prophecy has been fulfilled.
