    When the birds come about the door looking for crumbs there is going to be snow. When there is a red cloud in the sky and if it does not scatter there will be rain.
    When there is a white frost on the ground it is another sign of rain. When a flock of sheep gather together in a field it is the sign of rain.

    Loud quack the ducks, the peacocks cry.
    The distant hills are seeming nigh.
    The dog he alters in his taste
    Quits mutton bones on grass to feast
    When the cat puts its back to the fire it is a sign of a storm.
