They had feasting and dancing during the day and night at the wife's home. At night boys came who were called cailleachs or blackmen. They were dressed in fancy clothes and wore vizors. They danced and sang till late.

  2. In former times people didn't wear boots until they were sixteen years of age. There were some people, who when they were gong to Mass brought their boots in their hands, put them on going in, and took them off again when they came out.
