Ar an leathanach seo
- The principal birds in our district are the crow, jackdaws, woodquest, robin, sparrow, willow-wag-tail, yellow-hammer, stone-chat, thrush, blackbird, wren, curlew, gold-finch and the chaffinch.The crow, woodquest and magpie build their nests in the tops of trees, whilst the jackdaw builds in chimneys and old old walls. The robin makes her nest in fences and ditches, and the sparrow in eaves of houses. The willow wag-tail takes the tops of ditches as her building site. Again we have the yellow-hammer building in ditches and old bushes, the stone chat in old walls. The thrush and blackbird have their nests in ivy bushes and trees and the wren in ditches.
