But I often thought that with an understanding with the other interested parties, it should be possible to fix the broken slab in the well of the ruined church and with it a notice stating whose grave it marks, this preserving the name and memory of Father Daly. He was a native of the district, and his death took place in the house of his sister, named Marcella. I am grateful for the suggestion made in the last sentence of the notice, and I would add my personal appeal for any local traditions or information that may still exist of Father Daly, or the Daly family.
