    Historic find:- An ancient Urn which was discovered during recent excavations at Kilfinane.
    Important Finds in Co Offaly & Westmeath The remains of a sixth century Church have been discovered in the grounds of Gallen Priory at Ferbane Offaly, providing valuable examples of early Celtic art.
    At Dunshauglin Co. Meath, an ancient dwelling has been unearthed, dating back to the beginning of the Christian period in Ireland. On these excavations some eighty men are at present employed.
