    The buyer spits on his hand and strikes the seller's hand naming a price at the same time, and sometimes an out-sider helps to make the bargain and persuades the buyer and seller to divide the difference between them.
    The animal is usually marked with mud on the flank. If a horse is being sold the seller gives the bridle free to the buyer.
    The greatest fair of the year is the fair of Gallon in May, next comes the October fair, then November, then January and April fairs.
