    People say to get some snow and boil it and put it in a jar and cork it up tightly. If you have this snow-water near at hand and you burn or scald yourself, put it on immediately and it will prevent blistering.
    If you get the blood of a black cock, while it is still hot it will cure the shingles.
    Cattle suffering from blane may be cured by rubbing coarse salt on their tongues to break the blisters.
    Get house - leek and boil it in water and it is a very good cure for sore eyes.
