  1. William Crean, Raheenaskea, Oulart Gorey was the best footballer in Oulart in his time. He played with Oulart in Wexford park against Blackwater in 1908. He was seriously injured by a kick in the shoulder and had to leave the pitch. There was a free given to Oulart and Crean took it hurt arm and all as he had. The free was seventy yards out of the Blackwater goal and he scored a point. That was the last ball he ever kicked.

    Joseph Doyle, Ballineroad, Oulart, Gorey Co Wexford, fought in the battle on Oulart Hill in 1798. As he was going from the battle two English soldiers over took him and asked him to fight with his fists and to leave down his pike.
    When he had left down his pike, they rushed upon him and half killed him.
