    If you look in a mirror after midnight you will see the devil.
    Whatever things you do on New Years day you will all the year round.
    To break a mirror is to have seven years bad luck.
    If you put on your stockings inside out you will have good luck all day.
    If boots or shoes are left on a table there will be a fight in the house.
