    Michael Street was called after the graveyard which it is built on.
    Parnell Street was built when the great Irish leader was at the height of his fame.
    Macken Street called Barrack Street because the Soldiers had their Barracks there.
    Kevin Barry Street was called after an Irish boy-eighteen years of age, who was hanged by the British Soldiers in Mountjoy jail. It was formerly called Castle Hill bacause there was a castle there.
