  1. 1. On Shrove Tuesday some people make a cake which is called a potato cake which is made of potatoes and flour it is then thrown against the door for luck during lent.
    2. Some people make pancakes on the night before Shrove Tuesday. They are then left to be eaten the night afterwards. In one of them there is a button and whoever gets it has to eat all the pancake,
