  1. There was a thunder-storm in this district about ten years ago.
    It lasted about two hours but done a lot of harm. It killed horses, uprooted trees, and damaged a lot of houses.
    There was a heavy Rain-storm here about five years ago. Where threr were high tilled fields it washed all the earth down to the low ground. It flooded low-lands and tore up roads.
    About twenty years ago there were three falls of snow in the one year. The last one
