These two names are on the same road. The road ws the Bianconi coach road to and from town.
Not far away there was a well on a holding in the possession of a family named Crowe - this well was called Crowe well. Presumbly the road was called Crowe well Road which in course of time became Creywell Road.
The Augustinians had a College on this road. The building commanded a magnificent view of the river. The great J.K.L. taught in that College. The Augustinians changed their College to where it is now beside heir new church on the Hill.
    (See page 96)
The College, after the Augustinians left it, was rented as a residence by Captain White - a Captain of the Police. The White family remained in possession & residence til the death of the last lady of the family Miss White.. This is why it was called College Road.
    The College on College Road.
Recen renovations done to the Old College after the death of the last Miss White have completely changed its appearance. A whole storey (the upper) was taken off so that it has lost its most compelling characteristic -- its imposing height. Then again half its garden has gone to a new residence being built right beside it and occupied by the Town Clerk of the moment, Mr. Barry.
Dr. Nalsh, Clirmount, is the landlord.
