    About eighteen years ago there was a terrible thunder storm. It killed a mare and foal over at Lisryan and a lot of cattle in other districts. The year 1921 was driest season we had for years. We had not a drop of rain from March until the beginning of September. The cattle were exausted with druth. People had to draw water long journeys for them and also for themselves.
