  1. A dwelling house the property of Mr Francis Reilly, Fyhore was burned to the ground during the time of the Black and Tans about 15 years ago. First the Black and Tans raided the house and burned all Religious Pictures
Mrs Reilly who was then on her death-bed was carried out and left lying on the street
Nothing else was allowed to be taken out of the house. The Tans made Mr Michael Reilly and Mr Phil Reilly Fyhore, carry straw into the house. They then shook petrol on the straw and then lit it. No one was was allowed to save the house from being burned to the ground.
