    On May morning people get up and wash their faces with the dew of the grass and dry it with the sun and the sun will not burn them that year. There are a lot of stories about May Day. One morning when a man was going to his field early to bring cattle to the fair he saw an old woman pulling herbs and saying
    "Gather near Gather far Gather in to my churn" and she took the herbs and when she was going in to the house she put them over the door. The man followed her in and took them
