  1. The Landlord of this townland was Edward Crofton. He was an absentee Landlord living in England. He imployed an agent to collect the rent and look after his interest on the estate. The estate was handed down to him from his ancestors who came here is Cromwell's time. He was Landlord while he lived and died before the Land Purchase Act came into operation. He had friends living around Mohill, once when going on a visit to those people his horse struck lame and he was forced to seek shelter at the
