    house of a small farmer in this townland. The farmer did not know his Landlord but he treated him kindly and with real Irish hospitality. Edward Crofton in return did him some favours. A song composed about it sometime afterwards run like this
    Says Pat then roll in
    Though my roof it is thin
    And humble and plain is my store
    You can always depend,
    That you'll meet with a friend
    When you knock on, an Irishman's door.
