    quickly if not cut. Chicken-weed is another weed which is very harmful because it spreads through all sorts of land, and also through the gardens. It is said that this weed is good for feeding small chickens. Some people feed pigs with the dockings. The knettles [nettles] are used for feeding turkeys when they are small. Scutch grass is a cure for the kidneys. Breslian is a herb which is the colour of a nut outside and white like milk inside and the people used to eat it during the famine.
