    Long ago people wore wooden clogs. Some were made locally and some were bought in shops. These clogs were all wooden without heels.
    There was an old woman named Ann Kane who never wore boots or stockings in her life. She lived in Thomas Eglinton house in Curraghmore.
    Long ago people never washed their feet in hot water they said it would give them bad feet. And some people washed their feet in the bogholes.
    The water there in which the people washed their feet was thrown over the flowers and plants to protect them.
