    healed and nursed the sick. The people had their own cures for nearly all diseases. Some of the cures are as follows.
    When you boil chicken weed and drink the juice, it will cure a cough, Boiled honey that is got form wild bees is a cure for the thrush. A cure for warts is to cut a raw potato and rub it on the wart. It will remove them after a few days. To rub a black snail on warts and put it on a thorn, it will cure them. If any person touches the sail that person will take the warts.
    In Michael Kelly's field in Garthy called the Bog field, there is a well called Fray's well. It is said that if you take a drink out of the well, you will never have a pain in your back. In olden times a priest blessed that well.
