   Shirts are not made in the homes. Socks and stockings are knitted locally. Thread is not spun in the homes. There are no spinning wheels in the district.

   Special types of clothes are worn at the death of a relative. Black ones are generally worn, or a black band or diamond shaped piece of crepe stitched on the arm of the coat.

   There are three forts in the school district, and one is supposed to be inhabited by fairies. One is called the Dromanna Hill, and the other is called a fort. Two are in the townland of Lisclogher, and one in Crowenstown. The two at Lisclogher are within view of one another. They are both circular in shape, but the fort slants a little towards the east.
