There are no stories in our district connected with pigs or sheep, but it is said that it is lucky to rear a goat with cattle.
When we call the pig we say "Hurrish", the cow "Broog", the calf "Suck".
It is supposed to be unlucky to give an even number of eggs for hatching. No mark is put on eggs hatched by a hen, but when eggs are put in an incubator they are marked on one side with an X, and on the other side with an O.
- The farm and domestic animals we have at home are :' a cow, calves, pony, pig, dog and cat. The cows name is "Pruggy". When driving the cow in or out of a field we say "How up!"
