Easter is another great feast and is celebrated by eating as many eggs as possible. Young fellows used to make a beat and eat, perhaps two dozen of eggs at one meal, because there used to be no leave for eggs from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday.
St Patricks day was another great feast in Ireland because St Patrick is our national Apostle. Long ago there used to be a great fair held in Finnea on this day but it is wiped out now. On the eve of the fair the farmers used to be in such humour they would sing the following song:
St Patricks day will be merry and gay

There is also a jig called St Patricks Day
